Mountain View would hold its yearly German Christmas / Holiday market in the coming Sat., Dec 13, from 11am-9pm.

It is probably the biggest winter holiday event in south bay, outside San Jose, said to be attended between 20k~30k people each year. Lots of food, wine, chocolate, music, activities etc., especially the evening lights after dusk.

By our tradition, we are going to organize a community social in this big event, a Friends Circle with ice breaking squads, in the golden hour between sunset and evening lights on. This time we would experiment with two new additions: -- a Connect Station base camp, and Volunteer Guide(s). If you are coming to the market, why not check us out at the Starbucks?

So the process would work this way:

1. Check in at our base camp stationed at Starbucks, next block from the market.
2. People form into ice breaking squads, accompanied with our volunteer guide(s), scavenger game crawl in the market.
3. Rolling meet up of regroup/remix, every half an hour or so.
4. The base camp would be staffed by our volunteers during the activity hours, so you can always come back and wait for the next meetup point, if you arrive late or get lost in the crowds.
5. Volunteer group social dinners afterwards etc.

Suggested Dressing code:
Ugly sweater (or cute sweater)
or holiday hat, like a Santa Hat, Elf Hat whatever. (Walmart / Target)

Tracks:
As usual, two tracks to attend the event:

1. Volunteer track.
   You are going to volunteer for this community social event, by staffing the connect station base camp, or act as squad guide. We will try to pair you up so not working alone. The benefit is instant recognization within the social squad, insider status, connection with other volunteers and social afterwards etc..
2. Participants track
   Make friends, connections, and opportunities, in a big well attended holiday community event. People, people, people.
   Enjoy a Traditional European Christmas Market experience with holiday lightings.
3. Please arrive by 4pm for our group intro and ice-breaking activities. Late arrivals (4:15pm+) are welcome but will miss the structured mixing and join the free social portion.

Schedule:
3:30pm Early Bird check in, looking for a table of Santa hats.
Volunteers arrival
4:00pm Rounds of self intro, ice breaking squad forming, guide into market.
4:30pm Rolling meetup point one.
5:00pm Rolling meetup point two.
