Tide pool foraging & Coastal Photo Drive, Santa Cruz

Volunteers & Friends, we are going coastal again, doing tide pool foraging on this Feb 28th, followed by a photo drive covering light houses, and state beaches & parks as well.
We went volunteering & tide pool foraging last weekend around Santa Cruz, and accidentally found that the wild mustard is starting its peak blossom season, and the drive up from Santa Cruz to Pescadero shows stunning views, yellow flowers on green meadows. It is said the blossom usually peaks around mid Feb and last only a few weeks, so we are going in the Feb 28th weekend.
Itinerary:

Davenport Landing Beach
After foraging, we would do a coastal photo drive:
- Waddell State Beach (Big Basin Redwoods State Park) -- burnt relic *
- Ano Nuevo Light House & State Beach -- seals
- Pigeon Point Light House -- Striking view *
- Pascadero old town & beach -- waves *
We will stop along the way, park, take photos, do some light hiking, enjoy the view and move on to the next stop. The current forecast for Feb 14th is shower, which could add another dimension to the view. And weather permit, we may also see sunset. We may also do a group picnic at the end, depending on weather.
As usual, we will show how to do foraging, with an intro tour of the usual tide pool life. Davenport landing beach has mussel beds on both sides, we may start from the south end (left side) and check it out. Yes, Davenport has restroom access.
Sports fishing License purchasable at below, you can download and print a copy with you. You will need that to forage from the beach.
