Remember the Half Moon Bay state beach we volunteered last month? Yes, state park is holding a special Earth Day event for it. The difference is that besides the regular habitat restoration we did last time, state park also provide lunch special for Earth Day, so built in social.
We won't actively organize for this, but good to let you know. So if you have friends that want to spend a pleasant morning by the ocean together, this is a good place to go, with many companions.
It so turns out that the tide is also at its lowest point around 1pm, so it is a good time to go tide pooling at the maverick beach close by. Though we did receive biotoxin report that it isn't advisable to eat mollusks around San Mateo county and Marin county right now, so probably not a good time to go foraging. FYI.
Again, since lunch is provided, you have to register with state park to be counted in.
