This is a one of kind experience that will take almost the whole day. You will get to experience North Indian culture in Canada from a local's perspective. Its important to read the whole description and sign up only if you are up for a unique experience.
What you need to do before you read the rest of description:
1. A car (places may not be transit friendly) ask for carpooling in the comment section and you will find generous people offering rides.
2. The event has a cost of $20 to sign up. I will refund $10 at the end of the event. This is to make sure your commitment to the event as I will be limiting the number of people. The rest $10 will go towards monthly meetup fees or managing further events. You can send it to Yonarkbajaj@gmail.com and I will move you to the going list. No cancellations to avoid logistic nightmares. Only sign up if you can commit to it please.
3. We will be visiting a religious place. We will need to wear full sleeve clothes, cover our head with a cloth during that visit. Its important that we respect the culture and religious traditions of that sacred place. I will make sure you all know what to expect when you visit the place.
First stop - Mughal Mahal (https://g.co/kgs/ryoVjg3)
This is by far my favourite North Indian restaurant. We will have a heavy breakfast, do some carb loading. You can search up the name, look at their menu. No one leaves disappointed from this place. TRUST ME!
Everyone pays for themselves. Restaurant may apply a mandatory tip for larger groups. I will try to make reservations but there are no guarantees, we may need to wait for some time to get seated.
Second stop - Heartlake conservation park (https://g.co/kgs/n9AjvRe)
Brampton has a bad rep to those who don't know Brampton enough. Let's change that. This park is a fantastic place to walk through very easy trails and sit down for a picnic. We will drive to this place and walk after the carb loading and just relax in the nature.
Third stop - Sikh Spiritual Centre (https://g.co/kgs/Kut4jN1)
A Sikh religious place where everyone is welcome. We will come here after the park and spend one hour at this place. I will give a tour of the temple and we will sit down for a shared meal. Sikh temples serve free food for everyone. I always donate enough to cover the meal. Its optional but encouraged. After the meal, we will head out and call it a day.
