Vintage Music & Dance nights aboard the world-famous Queen Mary
Join us aboard the Queen Mary, when the famed Alex Mendham and his Orchestra, widely celebrated for their spectacular shows, take the stage. Combining jazz and swing music of the art deco era with a modern energy and passion, they epitomize Hollywood's golden age.
The eleven-piece orchestra takes you on an exciting journey, presenting the jazz and big band classics of the past, including music from the likes of Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, and Glenn Miller to rousing big band hits such as the famous Sing, Sing, Sing and many others originally heard aboard the Queen Mary. Perfect for dancing or to simply sit back and revel in the time-travel atmosphere.
Black-tie/Formal/Vintage glam attire encouraged. The more you dress up, the more fun you will have. There are great photo ops in the salon and around the ship.
Most tunes will be either foxtrot or swing. There will be a couple of waltzes and Latin rhythms. You don't need to have a partner. There are always single people available to dance.
IMPORTANT: You MUST purchase your ticket in advance. Tables are available for parties of six at the additional price of $50. You book the table when you buy your tickets, so you may want to arrange seating ahead of time. You don't need to buy a table to have a place to sit. There are usually lots of chairs staged around the perimeter of the room and tables that they leave open on a first-come basis. Alex's performances on the Queen Mary always sell out. Expect a magical evening! To purchase tickets, go to the Queen Mary website (QueenMary.com) and click on "What's on Deck". Then scroll down to this event.
See you on the dance floor!
