Join us for a relaxed, scenic 8-mile paddle through the most beautiful stretch of the River Wye. This is a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation, designed for taking your time, enjoying a riverside picnic, and spotting local wildlife.
The Plan
Arrival: 11:30 AM
On the Water: 12:15 PM
Duration: Approximately 4 hours 15 minutes of paddling and exploring.
The Team: You will be partnered up in threes to work together and enjoy the views!
Route Highlights
We will pass through an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, featuring:
Lower Lydbrook: An exciting start with small rapids.
Welsh Bicknor: A peaceful meadow with a charming church—perfect for our picnic stop.
Coldwell Rocks & Symonds Yat Rock: Towering cliffs where you might spot nesting Peregrine Falcons.
Stowfield Railway Viaduct: Impressive historic remains overhead.
Wildlife to Watch For
Keep your eyes peeled for Swans, Kingfishers, Herons, Buzzards, and if we are lucky, Otters!
