Bevs & Rounders: Basic Level 🏏
Details
Join us on what’s due to be a very sunny Sunday this Bank Holiday weekend, for a game so low in skill-requirement, there’s not even a national team. We’ll be taking to Llandaff Fields to enjoy a few relaxed games of perma-played-in-Year-6 sport, rounders. We’ll provide the equipment, the encouragement, and – as per when we were 11 - the enforcement of the entirely varying rules dependent on which school you went to.
Even if you’re not a fan of hitting a tennis ball with an infant-sized baseball bat, do come along and enjoy sitting in a sunny park with a few bevs, whilst the only two people who take it seriously phone their old PE teachers to prove their definition of a full rounder is the right one.
Should be a lovely chilled afternoon for both those wanting to play, and those preferring to sit and chitty chat with a few drinks.
We’ll be meeting at Café Castan from 1345, opposite the Halfway Hotel on Cathedral Road. From there we’ll shimmy on over to Llandaff Fields at 1400, where we’ll make a base. Or, more accurately, four.
Post-play, if the sun's still out, we might have a wonder back towards town via a couple of Cathedral Road's beer gardens.

Hi all - very much looking forward to rounders! If you're trying to work out which group is us, Matt has a camping trolley and a pair of pink and black shorts that would embarrass David Hasselhoff. Well be at Cafe Castan from 1345! Looking forward to seeing everyone

Hey all, we have set up base in the park. From the cafe, walk down the central path and we're about 150m down on the right, by the fourth rugby post. We've got a camping trolley and I'm wearing pink and black shorts that would embarrass David Hasselhoff. Should be able to find us here:
