Ever watched a true-crime documentary and thought, "I could have solved that"? Now is your chance to prove it. Socialise is taking over the Greenhouse for an immersive evening of high-stakes investigation. We aren't just playing a game; we are reopening the files on a cold case that the police couldn't crack.

The Mission:
You’ll be dropped into a specialist task force of five. Your table will be presented with a genuine-feel Unsolved Case File containing over 50 pieces of evidence: crime scene photographs, witness statements, autopsy reports, newspaper clippings, and more. The case is broken down into three distinct objectives.

To move forward, your team must use logic, lateral thinking, and a keen eye for detail to:

Prove why the original suspect was innocent. Disprove a key alibi. Identify the killer and provide the evidence needed to put them behind bars.

Vibe:
Expect a focused, collaborative, and gritty atmosphere. There are no scripted actors or "cheesy" clues—just you, your team, and the raw evidence. Whether you’re a seasoned "armchair detective" or a total newcomer, you’ll need to communicate and coordinate to sift through the red herrings and find the truth.

I'm heading to see Crawfish, a fantastic Bristol-based 5-piece blues band known for their authentic take on the sounds of the 1940s, '50s and '60s. Expect jump blues, swinging rhythms, infectious grooves and plenty of danceable tunes.
Whether you're a blues lover, a live music enthusiast, or just fancy a fun Friday night out with good company, you're very welcome to join us.

We are welcoming you at Mackenzie's on 31 July. Free to attend. Mackenzie's is holding a section of the venue just for our group. We can also make use of the venue’s 2-for-1 Cocktails and Happy Hour deals!
If you've had enough of the same work-home routine, or you're new to the city and still finding your feet, this is a low-pressure way to meet a few people.

New or coming alone?
Most people come on their own the first time. If you feel nervous about walking into a room by yourself, you can arrive from 7:00 PM. Our organisers will be at the door for a dedicated half-hour welcome window.
We will meet you at the entrance, walk you straight over to the tables, and get you set up with an easy game alongside other early arrivals. This gives you something to do before the room gets busy. It is entirely fine to turn up for a quick drink and leave if you are not feeling it.

What to expect
The night has two sections. On the left, a mingle area to grab a drink and chat. On the right, tables set up with ice-breaker games. Our organisers will be there to show you how each one works.

The five table games
You'll learn any game in 30 seconds. The tables give you something to focus on, so you're not scrambling for small talk. You can move between them or find one you like and stay. Grab a drink, pick a table, and you're all set.
