This event is an annual BBQ battle organized by Giant.
I work for the company so I have 2 extra VIP tickets and I think this event is a great experience to make some new friends.
Some of the biggest brands that the Giant Stores carry will be there. All brands will set up a tent, they will give out tote bags so we can go stand to stand collecting all kinds of samples and freebies.
There will also be different activities and 3 different stages with live music.
The VIP tickets gets us access to an all inclusive special tent where we can have free BBQ made fresh all you can eat and drinks (both alcoholic or NA)
The event is hold on the Historic Pennsylvania Ave, Washingtonn DC. Between 3rd and 7th street.
The streets in front of The Capitol will be closed for this.
This is an all weekend long event that we can go there at any time and leave any time.
I’ve been to the past 3 bbq battles and it has been a blast. This year I didn’t have much time to plan out going, I got the tickets but I still need some friends to go with that are down for the experience :)
I live in Germantown so I’ll be taking the Shady Grovee metro but whichever preference you have to go I don’t mind. We can meet up there.
