Movie Screening: Pariyerum Perumal

Join us for the debut event of the Socially Conscious South Asian Film Club (SOCSA FC) on the Eastside! We will screen Pariyerum Perumal (in Tamil with English subtitles) at the Redmond Library. The screening will begin promptly at 5 pm, followed by a brief discussion - feel free to join when you are able! Get ready to be immersed in the powerful story of a young man's journey through social injustice and discrimination.

Plot Summary: An idealistic youth is optimistic about his future as he enters college, but a tragic chain of events, and his friendship with a girl from a different station, will wake him up to the harsher realities of caste-stratified life in India.
