Come sit awkwardly with us for our next meetup in Doncaster (9 people max) 😅

The location is The Mallard (Frenchgate), which is wheelchair accessible, but If you have any additional accessibility requirements, please let us know in advance.

Please avoid eye contact with other members whenever possible.
Being weird and socially awkward is highly desirable (but not required). Mumbling, overthinking what to say, and struggling to speak out loud are all perfectly normal forms of communication here.
Bonus points if you work in IT, freelance from home, and regularly go 3+ days without speaking to another human.
No pressure, no forced socialising, and no expectations to do anything. You can join in, sit quietly, chat to another socially awkward person, stare at your phone all evening, or leave without saying goodbye if you start feeling uncomfortable.

I also try to keep the groups small and the conversations a bit more structured. I'll be asking everyone (who wants to talk) questions and making sure everyone feels included, so there's never any pressure to carry the conversation yourself.

We only have one rule: treat others with kindness and respect.
If someone seems a little nervous, please be nice to them.

For anyone who does want to talk, we’ll have “A Little More Conversation” and other card games.
No matter your background, age, or level of social anxiety, you’re welcome here 💙

P.S. If there is someone you wish to bring with you, please encourage them to create a Meetup profile and sign up to the event themselves.

The location:
The Mallard is on the second floor inside Frenchgate. We'll be at one of the tables to the left of the entrance, next to the large window. (There will be "SAT Meetup" sign on the table).
IMPORTANT! Frenchgate does NOT close on Sunday night (even if it looks like it does).
For the front entrance, most of the doors are shut, but there is an automatic door that will open only if you press the button.
Another way to enter Frenchgate is through the entrance on the left-hand side of the railway station. You can use the escalator and then The Mallard will be just on your left.
