The second annual Herring Festival will take place at The White Swan wet fish shop and restaurant on North Quay in Great Yarmouth, on October 9 and 10.

Jordan Abel, owner of The White Swan, said: "It's a day for everyone to celebrate Great Yarmouth's fishing heritage, and a lot of that was herring.

On both days of the festival, Mr Abel will be outside the shop frying the freshly-caught fish.

Festivalgoers will be able to wash down the herring with real ales and ciders from Green Jack Brewery, based in Lowestoft, while music will come from the Yare Shanty Crew, a sea shanty band
