About Melissa
After more than a decade of experience in the digital and social media space, specifically with roots in broadcast journalism from NBC and CNN, Melissa Blum founded M.T. Deco, her digital strategy agency, in 2018 with the desire to collaborate with a wide range of clientele in meaningful and creative ways. Since then, she’s had the pleasure of working with brands like YouTube, GoFundMe, HBOMax and Showtime, among many others.

Before that she was the head of digital at NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt and a Coordinating Video Producer for CNN’s Films & Series. Prior to CNN, she was a Brand Marketing Manager and Multimedia Journalist at NBC News - where she worked with Bill Harnett (!) - beginning her career as a member of the NBC Page Program.

Raised in New York and now based in the Bay Area, she is a graduate of the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism and the College of the Holy Cross, and is a married mother of three little ones.
