⛰ Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area was created in May 2022. It covers an area of 28322ha.

🦖 Located in the Upper Blue Mountains near Lithgow, this reserve links Wollemi National Park, Blue Mountains National Park, and Gardens of Stone National Park.

Gardens of Stone State Conservation Area protects ancient sandstone pagodas, rich eucalypt forests, important cultural heritage, and an array of threatened species and ecological communities.

🏨⛺️ Closest hotels, motels, caravan parks, Airbnb, glamping, campgrounds etc. to/from Gardens of Stones NP by car:

~ Lithgow, Wallerawang (Lake Wallace), Lisdale - less than an hour

~ Portland - 45 minutes

~ Cullen Bullen - 30 minutes

~ Capertee - only 20 minutes

🗓 If you wish to stay at a motel, hotel, caravan park, Airbnb etc, please check online for accommodation during those dates.

🚗 You may come and leave home at anytime.

🏨 I’d recommend accommodation in Wallerawang village centre - Commercial Hotel Wallerawang, Royal Hotel or Black Gold Motel. It’s only 5 minutes drive to/from Lake Wallace Campground.

🏕 Most of us will be camping at:

🚻 Facilities include RV Dump point, tap water, toilets and showers, playground, BBQ facilities and off leash dog area.

⛺️ No booking campground on first come first served basis. We will update the exact location upon arrival at the campground on the day.

🚗 Accessible by regular 2WD, about 5 minutes drive to/from Wallerawang village centre, 15 minutes from Lithgow town centre and 45 minutes to/from Katoomba and Gardens of Stone NP.

🛶 Byo kayak, canoe, SUP, fishing gear, floaties, cossies etc.

💵 GRATUITY:

$30 gratuity/Meetup fee per person (PRE-PAID) payable to me, your organiser for research, planning and preparation for this event. As you can appreciate, it takes a lot of time and effort organising this exciting event.

🌭 Sausage sizzles lunch will be served on Saturday from 12-12.30pm at Lake Wallace Campground.

🥞 Light hot breakfast with tea or coffee will be served on Sunday at 8.30am.

📝 NOTE: few of us will be at Lake Wallace Campground on Friday, 29th September. You’re welcome to hang out with us by taking a day off, leave work early or take a sickie! 😉

⛺️Campers - please arrive by 10am on Saturday, 30th September. We will help you pitch the tents etc.

🔥 NO open fire permittedd at Lake Wallace Camping and Picnic Area.
