🗓 DATE: Sunday, 22 June 2025.
⏰ MEETING TIME: 10.05am.
🚌 MEETING PLACE: at the bus stop opposite Cafe K @ The Bay (formerly Endeavour Cafe), Kurnell. Refer attached map - photos 3 & 4.

🥾 DISTANCE: 12km return.
🥾 GRADE: Easy/Moderate on a relaxing pace, not snail pace!
💪🏽 Reasonable fitness recommended due to uneven surfaces, stair climbs and rocks hopping at few sections.

📸 WHAT TO EXPECT:
🚶‍♂️This is a shorter version of Kurnell to Cronulla Walk. This great coastal walk follows the coastline from the clifftops in Kamay Botany Bay National Park between Cape Solander and Cape Baily Lighthouse.
🚶🏼‍♀️ Tracks expected to be wet and muddy at few sections.
🚶‍♂️We’ll start our exciting adventure from the bus stop, Captain Cook's Landing Place opposite Cafe K @ The Bay through Kamay Botany Bay NP. There are few interesting plaques, monuments and a bronze sculptures.

🚻 Public toilet block located near the monument.
⚠️ NOTE - no toilets or cafes along the tracks past this point!

🏖️ After photo sessions, we’ll continue along the coastline towards Cape Solander, one of the best whale watching spots in Sydney.
🐳 We will then continue to Cape Baily Lighthouse where we will have byo lunch break with fantastic ocean view.
🐋 After lunch, we will head back to the starting point at the bus stop, Kurnell.
🥧 We’ll have a well deserved drinks and a bite to eat (optional) at one of the cafes near the bus stop before heading home.

❎ NO facilities or cafes on the trails, so please come well prepared.
❎ NO smoking on the walk including during photo stops and lunch break.
✅ If you’re bringing a guest/s under 18 years old, please let me know by TEXT message for confirmation.
✅ Please be mindful and respectful to members and guest/s from diverse background. This is not a dating group.
✅ If something’s come up, please Edit your RSVP to ‘Not Going’ asap at least by 7pm the day before. It’s only take a second!

🎒WHAT TO BRING:
👕 Comfortable outfit for the weather preferably hiking gear. Jeans or cotton t-shirt may not be suitable for this walk.
🥾 Waterproof hiking boots or good grip walking shoes highly recommended due to muddy tracks at few sections.
💦 At least 1.8L of water, Hydralyte or sports energy drinks,
🥪 Snacks and packed lunch.
🧢 Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent.
⛑ Basic First Aid Kit ie. BandAid and hand sanitiser.
🧥 Light raincoat or a poncho just in case of wet weather.

🚌 If you miss the 9.45am (Bus 987) from Cronulla station to Kurnell, the next bus is one hour later! 🏃‍♂️

🚌 Bus from Kurnell back to Cronulla station is on every hour on the hour.

‼️ Those arriving after 10.15am and wish to join the group, $5 Meetup fee/gratuity + $10 penalty for your tardiness❗️

🚗 Those travelling by car, you may offer a lift from your closest station or any stations on the way with share costs.

🅿️ Plenty of free parking spots in front of the cafes and along the road.
