🗓 DATE: Sunday, 1 February 2026.
🚊 MEETING POINT: Coalcliff station - at the entry/exit.
⏰ MEETING TIME: 9.45am.
🚆 END POINT: Helensburgh station.

🥾 DISTANCE: 8km - point to point (Coalcliff station to Coledale station).
🥾 GRADE: Easy/Moderate - mostly on shared footpaths with few gentle uphills, downhills and a bit of stairs. Some dirt paths could be wet and muddy at few sections.

📸 WHAT TO EXPECT:
🚶‍♂️Sea Cliff Bridge is a section of the famous Grand Pacific Drive, which starts just south of Sydney and stretches down the coast of New South Wales.
Built in 2005 to replace a dangerous section of road that was prone to rockfalls, the new S-shape road stretches out over the ocean and seemingly floats off the coastline as if it’s magically weightless.
🐳 It is also a great viewing platform for whale sightings during migrating season.
🚶‍♂️Upon arrival at Coalcliff station, we’ll head down to Coalcliff Beach public toilets for a quick rest stop. Toilets at the station most probably closed on weekends.
🏝 We will continue our journey passing through few gorgeous beaches - Coalcliff, Scarborough, Wombarra and Coledale.
🥧 We will have a lunch break at Coledale Beach RSL.

🥪 BYO lunch is the best option to avoid a long queue.

🚆 After lunch, we’ll catch 12.57pm train from Coledale station to Helensburgh station arriving at 1.23pm for interesting glow worm tunnel walk, about 450m from the station.
🐛 Please bring a headlight preferably with red light capability. Refer photo no. 2 - Glow Worm Basic Care Guidelines.
🥾 NOTE - glow worm tunnel is wet and muddy so please be prepared.
🚿 Tap water to clean dirty shoes located on the platform under the bridge.

👕 Comfortable outfit and sturdy walking shoes.
💦 At least 1.8L of water.
🥪 Snacks and PACKED lunch.
🧢 Hat and sunscreen.
⛑ Basic First Aid kit - BandAid, bandages, pain reliever and hand sanitiser.
🧥 Light raincoat just in case of wet weather.
🏊🏼‍♂️ Cozzies and towel of you with to swim during lunch break at Coledale Beach.
