"WEDNESDAY WALK" easy-peasy: George's midweek walks, perfect for everyone, easy pace, not a race to the end and lots of interesting 1 minutes stops to rehydrate plus some interesting stories.
WHY WALK?
1. Walking increases blood flow to the brain, improving memory almost instantly!
2. Walking recalibrates your circadian rhythm, making you fall asleep faster at night.
END of WALK (10am-12pm) will be fabulous!!! We can sit and chat in the food court, grab a bit or eat what's in your backpack. Come and enjoy with me. You will have fun, i promise.
START from Central, onward to Belmore Park, we walk through Harmony Park then past the "Pool of Reflection" we get to the Anzac Memorial at Hyde Park.
Sneak through some new sections close to Saint Mary's Cathedral, then 2 minute rehydrate near The Botanical Gardens and Government House.
Amphitheatre behind Sydney's Conservatorium of Music to the Calyx, exhibiting floral displays. From here, zig zag through hidden gardens, past Sydney Fernery to Palm House!
ARRIVAL at CIRCULAR QUAY just in time for lunch, drink or snack.
Meeting Point: Central Station's "Transport Information Big Board" near Platform 4.
Distance: 8km (about 2 hours)
Difficulty: Very Easy. 2 hour walk, exit spots. Paths Walk, Parks Walk! Easy Walk!
Walking Pace: An easy steady pace at 4km-4.25km per hour.
Bring: Comfortable outfit, good walking shoes, one litre water, snacks, hat, sunscreen, a raincoat just in case. Bring your happy personality too!
