🗓 DATE: Saturday, 5 December 2026.
⏰ MEETING TIME: 10am.
🚊 MEETING POINT: (start & finish) Engadine station, Platform 1 near the toilets.

🥾 DISTANCE: 13km return.
🥾 GRADE: Moderately challenging hike with few exhilarating HARD tracks on a steady pace, not snail pace!
🚶Limited get-out points once we get into the bush tracks.

‼️NOTE! This event is not for non bushwalkers, whingers, those without proper hiking gears and those with intense fear of heights❗️
💪🏽 Reasonable fitness and bushwalks experience recommended due to uneven rocky surfaces, ups and downs hills, creek crossings, steep climbs, rock scramblings and bush bashing at few overgrown and indistinct paths especially at Engadine Lagoon to The Needles.
💪🏽 Tracks expected to be wet, muddy and slippery at few sections.
🥾 We may have to take our shoes or boots off to cross over The Needles (if flooding) to the other side of the track to continue our exciting walk.

✅ Keep well back from cliff edges at all times, especially when taking photos.

❎ NO toilets or cafes on the trails, so please come well prepared.
❎ NO smoking of any kind on the walk including during photo stops and lunch break.
✅ If you’re bringing a guest/s under 18 years old, please let me know by TEXT message for confirmation.
✅ Please be mindful and respectful to members and guests from diverse backgrounds. This is not a dating event.
✅ If something’s come up, please Edit your RSVP to ‘Not Going’ asap at least by 7pm the day before. It’s only take a second!

🎒WHAT TO BRING 🎒
👕 Comfortable outfit for the weather preferably hiking gear - long pants and quick dry hiking shirt. Jeans or cotton t-shirt is not suitable for this event.
🥾 Waterproof hiking boots or good grip walking shoes/trail runners highly recommended.
💦 At least 1.8L of WATER (no refills), Hydralyte or sports energy drinks.
🥪 Snacks and packed LUNCH (no cafes on the tracks).
🧢 Hat, sunscreen and insect repellent - Bushman, Aerogard, Off etc.
⛑ Basic First Aid Kit - BandAids, bandages, antibacterial wipes, pain reliever and hand sanitiser.
🧥Light raincoat or a poncho ($2 from Kmart, BigW, Bunnings or verity shops) just in case of wet weather.
🏊🏼‍♂️ Cozzies and towel if you wish to swim at The Needles during lunch break.
