In technical communications, there are many ways to present information. As a budding technical writer, editor, or graphic designer, you are always interested in learning better ways to present your own projects.
In this discussion, we will look at the portfolios of the first 5 people to volunteer. In this presentation, the following will occur:

  1. Lin will reveal her own portfolio and open it up to a discussion about the pros and cons.
  2. She will also show you some of her favorites and explain why they are good. You’ll get to give your own thoughts about them.
  3. We will look at the portfolios of the first 5 people to volunteer.
  4. We will define some of the best takeaways from our discussion for you to learn to apply to your own portfolio pieces.
  5. We will also discuss sites where you can find portfolio templates.

About the presenter:
Lin Laurie has had a long career as a software developer, technical writer, instructional developer, and trainer. Her portfolio has a long and varied type of portfolio pieces. She has been consulting in those roles for many years and is currently working remotely for Lin Laurie, LLC at a transportation company.
