The Society of Women Writers is a creative community for aspiring and published women authors who are passionate about the art of storytelling. We host a mix of in-person and online gatherings focused on craft, accountability, and encouragement. This is a space to connect with other writers who understand the creative journey and are looking for a community.

There are many wonderful writing groups open to all, but this one is meant to nurture a sense of shared experience specifically for women writers.

Join the Society of Women Writers for a conversation with professional book editor and poet Dana Alsamsam.
In this online moderated conversation, we’ll explore one of the most important questions writers face: When is a manuscript truly ready?
Dana has helped writers refine their prose, strengthen their storytelling, and bring their manuscripts to life. She will share insights from her work as an editor, discuss common challenges writers encounter during the revision process, and offer guidance on how authors can prepare their work for the next stage of its journey. The conversation will be followed by a live audience Q&A.
Whether you are early in your writing process or preparing to submit your manuscript, this session offers a thoughtful look into the editorial perspective behind strong, submission-ready work.
