During this session, we will share what each of us is working on (or hoping to start!). Whether you’re just starting a story idea or deep into your novel draft, you’ll find this a welcoming and encouraging space.
***COME READY TO: Share the opening paragraph of your current work. Whether it’s a novel, a poem, or even just an outline or idea you’re shaping. This isn’t about perfection... it's about sharing your work in progress.
This event will be held virtually via Google Meet. A link will be provided once you RSVP.
Our writing group welcomes participants 18+ for all virtual sessions. Please note that in-person gatherings are reserved for members aged 21 and over, as they may take place in venues that serve alcohol or require age verification.
About us:
The Society of Women Fiction Writers is a creative community based in NYC metro for aspiring and emerging women authors who are passionate about the art of storytelling. We host a mix of in-person and online gatherings focused on craft, accountability, and encouragement. This is a space to connect with other writers who understand the creative journey and are looking for a community.
This group is intended for those who identify as women, and is meant to be a supportive, women-centered community. We ask for your understanding as we maintain this dedicated environment. There are many wonderful writing groups open to all, but this one is meant to nurture a sense of shared experience specifically for women writers.
