> “To love is to lose oneself—sometimes beautifully, sometimes dangerously.”

Join us for a thought-provoking and heart-opening discussion as we explore the many faces of love through the lens of philosophy, film, and emotion.
Inspired by the song "Too Lost in You" by Sugababes and its haunting use in the film Love Actually, we’ll unpack what it means to be swept away by emotion — to surrender to another so completely that the boundaries of self begin to dissolve.
This is not a romantic event, but a reflective and respectful philosophical circle, where ideas flow freely, and we listen deeply.

### 💬 Suggested Prompts for Discussion:

  1. When we fall in love, do we find our true self — or lose it?
(Is the loss of control in love a dangerous illusion or a path to deeper authenticity?)
  2. Can intense love become a form of addiction?
(Where is the line between passion and obsession — between oceanic unity and emotional drowning?)
  3. Why do we long to dissolve into someone else — to "disappear" in love?
(What do philosophers like Levinas, Freud, or even Rumi say about merging with the Other?)
  4. Is being 'too lost in someone' romantic or unhealthy?
(Can the same emotion be both beautiful and destructive depending on context?)
  5. Do we ever truly love another person — or just how they make us feel?
(Is love selfless, or is it always rooted in what we receive in return?)
