Theme: Who Are We, and Where Does Our Worth Come From?
We live in a world where recognition often defines reality — followers, income, approval, validation. But if no one sees your light, does it still shine? Do other people need to give you money or confirm your value for you to actually have any?
This gathering invites an open, honest inquiry into the nature of value, self, and being. Together, we’ll ask:

> Who are we without external validation?
> Where does our sense of worth begin — in the eyes of others, or within ourselves?
> If no one praises, notices, or rewards us, do we still exist in fullness?

Following the Socratic tradition, we won’t seek conclusions but understanding — through thoughtful questioning, shared silence, and collective reflection.
Format:

  • Opening reflection: “Who am I when nobody is looking?”
  • Round of inquiry (each participant responds once before discussion opens)
  • Group dialogue and philosophical exploration
  • Closing insight or question to carry home

Guiding questions:

  • What gives something (or someone) value?
  • Is self-worth a feeling, a truth, or a social construct?
  • Can we separate our identity from what others think of us?
  • Who are we when the measures of success fall away?
