In a society that often equates certainty with strength, the pressure to appear unwaveringly confident can be immense. But how often is this outward display a genuine reflection of internal belief, and how often is it simply a well-constructed mask?
Join us for a deep, inquiry-based Socratic dialogue as we deconstruct the modern architecture of confidence, particularly how it is expected of, and performed by, men. We will explore the tension between authentic self-assurance and performative bravado, questioning whether the societal demand for "confidence" actually breeds isolation and imposter syndrome.

### Core Socratic Inquiries for the Evening

We will use the Socratic method to critically examine our assumptions about confidence, exploring questions such as:

  • What is the fundamental difference between possessing confidence and projecting certainty?
  • To what extent is "male confidence" socially engineered as a defense mechanism rather than organically developed?
  • Does the expectation to never show doubt actively hinder authentic communication, emotional intelligence, and vulnerability?
  • Can true confidence exist alongside visible insecurity, or are the two mutually exclusive?
  • How do we dismantle the "mask" to foster genuine self-assurance in both professional and personal arenas?
