It’s been a while, but I had an idea for a movie discussion! (Please watch the movie ahead of time, and we’ll discuss it at the meeting. 😊)
This event will be held in conjunction with another group I organize, and I will publicize it across a few of my groups.
Movie Discussion: “Mr. Nobody” (2009; American release in 2013), starring Jared Leto, Sarah Polley, and Diane Kruger; runtime of 2 hours and 19 minutes
I’ve been raving about the amazing movie “Mr. Nobody” since I saw it a few years ago, and I recommend it whenever discussions of my personal favorite movies come up in conversations. Perhaps scheduling a discussion around it will motivate more people to watch it so that we can talk about it!
We can definitely discuss the movie, as a whole, but I also intend to link some of the themes of the movie to some of the philosophical themes in “The Good Place”. These themes include, but are not limited to concepts of consciousness, identity, time travel, free will, alternate universes, alternate and parallel timelines, and moral relativism.
