Welcome to the Socrates Cafe in Madrid.

Depending on the amount of people showing up we might split in 2 groups, so please come in advance that we can organize.

IMPORTANT about the venue:

\ *I will sit on the grass in Retiro Park somewhere close to Plaza Galicia.
I will have a big blue and white blanket.
* Feel free to bring snacks and drinks
*Bring something to sit on, as the grass could be wet in the morning.

*If you can't join please make sure to update your RSVP before 9 AM on FRIDAY so people in the waiting list can update their plans accordingly.

At Socrates Café meetups, people discuss thought-provoking questions about life and the world we live in. We do it as a dialogue, not as a debate or a lecture.

You do not need to be a philosopher just talkative, a good listener and curious human being. In the end we end up being a group of people talking about life.

What makes these events a success are the participants, who come from all walks of life with open minds, ready to learn and form opinions through respectful discussions with others.

At the start of each meeting, the facilitator invites participants to suggest topics. We then vote and choose the most popular topic for discussion.

RULES

Please be on time! We will start at 10:30 so if you arrive late, please join quietly. If you are a first timer, make sure you take extra time for finding the location.

If something unexpected happens and you can't join, please update your RSVP as soon as possible.

You may disagree with others, but please do so respectfully without personal attacks.
