SoCraTes Open Space: Remote!

Details

This is an experiment!

In times of corona we have to cancel our live open spaces, so we want to experiment with a remote meetup.

Because this is remote and an experiment, so we'll do some things different. We'll have a lower limit of number of attendees for now because we don't know yet how everything is going to work, so if you join this one (hopefully you do), please show up as well!
Know that this is an experiment, so it can totally fail.

In this remote open space, we'll discuss software, technology, practices, methods or whatever else you feel like.

Schedule:

19:30-19:40: joining, introductions
19:40-20:00: lightning talks
20-00:21:45: open space
21:45-22:00: retrospective

How does it work?

We are still working on this, and are looking into how we can best organize this. Once we know more, we'll let you know, how you can connect, what you need to prepare, if you need some software.

Make sure that you have a good place to connect to the meetup. Preferably have a silent room, headset with microphone, webcam, good internet connection.
The goal of this meetup to still be open space like, so we want interaction! That means you need to have a good microphone etc to be able to interact.

Lightning talks

The first 15-20 minutes will be devoted to lightning talks. So if you've got a cool demo, some new technology or just something you think the group might find interesting, controversial or just plain funny, prepare it and share it! Don't worry if you've never given a lightning talk before - this is a great opportunity to give a talk in a friendly environment. All talks are restricted to no more than seven minutes.

Open space

We ask people to suggest topics for the discussion. After the topics are suggested, we put up a market place for the rest of the evening, running several 30 minute sessions in parallel so that everyone can choose which session they want to participate in. You have full control of what you want to discuss with the group.

This is an informal session, you don't need any particular experience and you don't need to have suggestions for topics - just bring yourself, an open mind and your opinions.
