Fear of Death

Death is inevitable. Some of us are keenly aware of our mortality, while others are blissfully ignorant. It is a mystery to us, despite our persistent contemplation about it. Ultimately, we don't have hard evidence of what comes after death—only firm belief and thoughtful speculation. That sheer unknown can stir up quiet dread or open existential fear.

Maybe we will always contemplate what comes after death... But how often do we ask ourselves why we think so much about it, why we fear it, and what that fear does to us?
