Tech for Good: Green Solutions Transforming FoodTech

Details

In 2050, the world’s population is expected to hit 10 billion (World Economic Forum, 2022), placing unprecedented demands on global food production. It‘s no secret that the food we eat is damaging the environment. Take hamburgers, for example – they're undeniably delicious, but did you know that a single burger consumes a whopping 660 gallons of water which is equivalent to showering for 2 months straight? It’s okay if your mind is blown – we're here to help.

Join us for our upcoming SODA Social event, where we delve into how we can make a purposeful impact in the FoodTech space. We will explore cutting-edge innovations, such as autonomous robots and AI, vertical farming, food waste reduction, and resource management technologies. These advancements present incredible opportunities to drive positive change and eliminate inefficiencies in our food ecosystem.

Key discussion points will include:

  • Current challenges in the FoodTech space
  • Top sustainable AgriTech practices
  • Tech’s Role in reducing food waste and reducing carbon footprint
  • Positioning collaboration at the heart of FoodTech
  • Tools to unlock consumer interest and raise awareness

Our panel will include:

  • Jack Herbert - Host & Chair @ SODA Social
  • Dr. Marianna Herold - CEO & Co-Founder @ NatureBound
  • Mex Ibrahim - Co-Founder of Women In the Food Industry
