Can tech tackle the men’s health crisis? Tune in to our latest webinar in collaboration with Code Institute on November 21st, where we’ll be teaming up with industry-leading experts to explore the role of technology in building a brighter, healthier future.
The health and wellness data is alarming – often referred to as the ‘silent crisis,’ suicide is the biggest killer of men under 45 in the UK, and according to King Edward II Hospital, ‘Too many men would ignore a lump’ (59% of men between the ages of 18 and 24 have never checked their testicles).
Progress is possible, it’s happening all the time as awareness grows. What can we do to bridge the gap between awareness and action?
In many ways, technology represents a hopeful new dawn for men’s health. Inspired by renowned champions of men’s health and facial hair fanatics, Movember, we’ll be examining the role tech has in:
- Battling the stigma around men’s health and wellbeing
- Providing strength and security through community
- Creating access to support and education
- Closing the gap between innovation and adoption
- Supporting the silent majority
Our panel will include:
- George O'Connell - Host and Chair @ SODA Social
- Luke Marchant - CTO @ Other World Computing
- Tim Morris - Backend Software Developer @ Tillo
- Micha Swallow - Learning, Performance and Development Partner @ Trinnovo Group
- Daniel Walker-Murray - Global Account Manager @ Google
