Introduction to Infrastructure as Code with Terraform

Welcome to HashiCorp User Group Meetup in Sofia!

IaC is becoming the standard for managing infrastructure both on-premises and in the cloud. Using Hashicorp Terraform, complex infrastructure setups become easy to deploy and evolve.

IaC resolves several big problems about managing or setting up the infrastructure:

• Versioning - now server setup has a version number, changes are tracked in code repository creating a historical​ record.
• Drifting - is my DEV environment the same or close enough to my PROD environment?
• Contribution - everyone can participate in building the perfect infrastructure. Complex tickets or long meetings are not required in order to explain infrastructure requirements, just do it with code.
• Experiments - skip all those approvals and wait times, when you just want to show off your idea. Build and destroy your infrastructure in minutes.

Beginners intro to HashiCorp Terraform.

Anton Stamenov is a certified AWS Solution Architect. He has a background in IT for more than 15 years, fighting network, system or dev problems. He is now working for HeleCloud, an AWS technology consultancy firm with offices in the UK and Bulgaria.
