Building Reliable Infrastructure in Multiple Complex Environments

Details
Hi everyone!
We are pleased to announce our next event where we will have a topic for the intermediate to advanced Terraform users, delivered by Ivaylo Vrabchev, Cloud Consultant at HeleCloud.
Summary:
Infrastructure as a Code (IаC) is a new approach to infrastructure automation that is based on software development practices. Using that approach, almost all components can be managed via code. Companies that use IаC deploy more frequently and recover faster than those that use the traditional, server-based system.
Continuously running automated tests throughout the entire process results in nearly instantaneous feedback on any changes made, giving the confidence to make improvements and alterations quickly and more often. Having that in mind, we have to think of a way to test our code and the applied infrastructure changes through it automatically.
Ivaylo Vrabchev will present a custom approach used at HeleCloud for applying Policy as a Code (PaC), as well as executing unit, integration and acceptance tests on a cloud environment deployed via automated pipelines.
The technical part of the presentation will touch the principle of infrastructure management. The main focus will be on executing various tests and applying PaC in different stages of the deployment process in order to validate the acceptance criteria.
The tool stack will be based on Terraform, Packer, InSpec and various AWS Services.
