SoFlo Readers Holiday Season Book Club

Come and join us for our Holiday Season Book Club for a casual, bookish conversation at our main meetup group of SoFlo Readers!

Because this is “a different kind of book club” there is no one book we’ll be discussing. Instead, we’ll chat about what we’re reading now, what we love to read, what we didn’t enjoy lately, recommendations, and more. 😊

Come prepared to share some of your favorite Winter season reads and to connect with fellow book lovers in the area. Everyone is welcome - feel free to invite anyone not on Meetup, too.

Only rule is to be kind and respectful of everyone in attendance.

The weather should be cool enough that we can enjoy sitting outside this Book Club – we’ll try to get seating at the long benches so we can all be together. Bring your sweaters to stay warm!

We’re holding an optional holiday book exchange for those that would like to give and receive a book.

Here are some guidelines:

· Bring a gift-wrapped book to the exchange. If you’d like, include a label telling the receiver who the book is from and a hint about what kind of book is inside.

· Select a book to take home from the exchange: Whether you’re drawn to the presentation, the hint, or the person it’s from, find a book that calls to you! 😊

· Please bring only one book to the exchange, and take only one book.

We plan to bring refreshed icebreaker cards – like the colored index cards you’ve seen at our previous Book Clubs, but with new icebreaker questions to bring a holiday twist on getting to know each other.
