Soft Robotics Entrepreneurs & Academics: 2016 Robotics Trends. December 14th.

Details

Please join us for Entrepreneurs & Academics: 2016 Soft Robotics Trends. We have a truly exciting opportunity to hear from some of the leading robotics experts working on trends impacting soft robotics, including these cutting edge technologies shaping up to be very relevant in 2016:

Modular Robotics. Modular Robotics are an extremely promising but early stage field, where massive groups of autonomous mini-robots self-assemble to build complex compound robots. Cornell University’s Sibley School of Engineering is working to optimize the easily apparent commercial, military and medical applications. Speaker: Jonathan Daudelin, Cornell University Sibley School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering

Manipulating Deformable Objects. We will learn how Columbia University Robotics is using predictive simulation and trajectory optimization to manipulate soft objects, allowing robots to enter fields previously thought impossible to automate. Speaker: Professor Peter Allen, Columbia University Robotics Group, Department of Computer Science
