About us

Soft Spot 069 is a social platform for exchange and a room for activities like handicrafts (like knitting or crochet), DIY projects, games, learning and reading. Whenever possible the venues for the events will feature a more lively café area where it is encouraged to connect with others, but also a quieter area for more focused activities without the pressure of socializing.

Events will take place in the Offenbach/Frankfurt region and will be advertised through other channels besides Meetup as well. (There might be special perks for Meetup members, for example a reserved table, where English ist the main language. Please look out for announcements on the event pages regarding any such perks.)

Soft Spot 069 fosters a respectful and cozy atmosphere. Therefore discrimination of any kind will not be tolerated, as well as any intrusive, disrespectful behaviour that directly goes against the atmosphere of the event or makes other people feel unsafe.

Also, unless explicitly announced as such, the events are not courses for handicrafts. Please bring your own materials, projects and instructions as needed.

Special info for Meetup Members: This event is open to the public and is also advertised in other channels. However, if you RSVP to this event, we will reserve an english speaking table for the Meetup group (up to 10 spots).

We will be opening our Open Living Room for Everyone at Radraum Offenbach for the first time on Sunday, June 28, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

Bring your DIY projects, handicrafts, games, study materials, or simply yourself. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age, background, target group, or any other labels.

There will be a café area with soft music where you can chat and connect with others. On the other side of the room, there is a separate quiet area where you can retreat to read, study, relax, or simply enjoy some peace and quiet. A few tables will also be available outside.

We will provide some materials just in case, but please note that this is not a handicrafts or crafting class. It is a social space for spending time together and engaging in shared activities, where we can naturally help one another and exchange ideas and skills.

No discriminatory or disrespectful behaviour.
Be sensible to the atmosphere in the room.

We aim to reach different target groups and make activities like handicrafts more accessible, combating stigma, gender and age based stereotypes associated with these activities.
