The Prompt or the Pen: do BAs still own visualization?
A big chunk of a BA's job is pulling ideas out of stakeholders' heads and turning them into something everyone can actually grasp. A process flow. A data flow. A service blueprint. A set of visuals where a CFO sees cost, a VP of Engineering sees risk, and a Head of HR sees user journey, all pointing at the same solution, yet different visuals. Get this right, and you move from requirements manager to a BA at the strategy table. Get it wrong, and you spend months documenting decisions that were never really made.
Now AI draws diagrams in seconds. A founder ships a working prototype over the weekend. So the real question: is visualization still our craft, or are we about to become the people who explain what the AI just drew?

This is a panel discussion, not scripted. We come with different views and we are not planning to agree on everything. Expect real opinions, real project cases, real disagreement, and a few uncomfortable questions, for us and for you.
Questions we will put on the table:
- Is a BA who cannot visualize actually doing business analysis, or just taking notes?
- How do you design a visual that survives being forwarded to an executive you have never met?
- Are we telling stories with our visuals, or just decorating requirements?
- Requirements Architecture: real craft, or an academic word we use to sound senior?
- If a founder can prototype in an afternoon with AI, do they even need a BA in discovery?
- Which part of your job are you quietly afraid AI will do better than you in two years?
