Hyper CaaS, Kubernetes/Google and Service Virtualisation!!

We are BACK!!

Thanks to OpenCredo for opening its doors to the circus once more. This time we have the following speakers lined up for you. ComeOneComeAll but First Come First Serve as seating is limited!!!

David Aronchick - Senior Product Manager - Everything you wanted to know about Kubernetes (but were afraid to ask)

Want to run containers at scale in the same way that Google does? Last summer, Google released Kubernetes, the open source container orchestration tool built on the same concepts they use to manage the largest public infrastructure deployment in the world - their own.
One year later, 10k+ github stars and 17k commits from 400 contributors later, Kubernetes is a mature, sophisticated and, dare we say, easy to use orchestration solution. Come hear David Aronchick, lead product manager for Kubernetes project, and a core member of the Kubernetes team, talk about the present (and future) of Kubernetes, and how to use it to solve development and business blockers.

Bio: David Aronchick is the Senior Product Manager for the Google Container Engine, and leads product management on behalf of Google for Kubernetes. David has been helping to ship software for nearly 20 years, founding and being part of the management team for three different startups, as well as squeezing in time at Microsoft, Amazon, Chef, and now Google.

James Kulina - COO at Hyper - The only secure CaaS worth the HYPE!

With the rise of Docker, the world is shifting its focus from "Machine" toward "App". As such, the cloud of tomorrow will be very different than today.

While the future is exciting, what holds us back is the lack of isolation in containers. Without the necessary security, it is impossible to build a public multi-tenant CaaS platform, as everyone has to share the single host's kernel (no matter physical or virtual).

Hyper is a Hypervisor-agnostic Docker Runtime. Its goal is to Make VMs run like Containers, by combining the best from both.

- Hyper - Virtualized Containers:    - The speed of Containers, with    - The isolation of real VMs- Hypernetes - Multi-tenant Kubernetes- CaaS without IaaS - Hyper’s simple and secure Container-as-a-Service

With Hyper, we believe the future of Container-as-a-Service is just around the corner.

Bio: James Kulina is currently Chief Operating Officer at Hyper_, a startup working to bring secure Container-as-a-Service to the masses. Prior to Hyper_ , James worked at Red Hat in the Openstack product group focusing on devops solutions. Prior to Red Hat, James worked at Paris based Openstack professional services startup eNovance, which was acquired by Red Hat in 2014. Prior to eNovance, James worked at AT&T in variety of managerial and technical roles within cloud and network services business units.

Tom Cunliffe - CEO SpectoLabs - Service virtualisation for the 21st century

Service virtualisation tools promise to “increase developer productivity”, “realise agile parallel development” and “accelerate release cycle times”… But what does this mean? And why should you care?Learn how service virtualisation can help you deal with the headache of developing and testing against external services.

Bio: Tom is CEO of SpectoLabs, a company that provides open source tools to help teams deliver software faster. He has a background in product ownership, agile testing and data analysis.

Sadly this clashes with KubeCon EU's Happy Hour, so I don't think I'll be able to make it. :-(
