Be Excellent with each other
Attendees, speakers, sponsors and volunteers at our meetup are required to agree with the following code of conduct. Organisers will enforce this code throughout the event. We expect cooperation from all participants to help ensure a safe environment for everybody.
The Quick Version
Our meetup is dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion (or lack thereof), or technology choices. We do not tolerate harassment of meetup participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any meetup venue, including talks, workshops, parties, Twitter and other online media. meetup participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the meetup at the discretion of the organisers.
The Less Quick Version
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, religion, technology choices, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, sponsors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material. Staff (including volunteers) should not use sexualised clothing/uniforms/costumes, or otherwise create a sexualised environment.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the meetup organisers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the meetup.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a meetup organiser immediately.
Meetup organisers will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the meetup. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at meetup venues and meetup-related social events.

Following the success of April’s Software Crafters session, Codurance is delighted to once again partner with Lloyds Banking Group for an Architecture Kata as part of September’s Leeds Digital Festival.

The Architecture Kata itself (if you’re not too familiar with the term, we just mean an Architectural challenge) has been designed by Lloyds Banking Group specifically for this event, so this is an opportunity to work on something that is unique.
Team Challenge
Lloyd Banking Group will introduce the Architecture Kata and explain the use case. You’ll be split into teams and asked to produce an architecture solution to meet the use case. You don’t need any prior experience of software or solution architecture, it’s all about applying your problem-solving skills, working with a team and decision-making.Real-World Trade-offs: Just like in actual projects, you’ll have to navigate trade-offs, interact with a Product Owner, and craft a well-thought-out solution architecture.
Showcase & Discussion: After designing your architecture, teams will present their solutions and choices to the wider group, sparking insights and lively debate.This is your chance to experience Solution Architecture in a collaborative, hands-on setting - perfect for honing your skills in a supportive environment!

This event is for anyone, across all industries in both the private and public sector, that is interested in learning more about testing and quality in general.Please note, food and drinks will be provided, with vegetarian and vegan options available.
