Join us at DTX MCR on Wednesday, 17 May, at the AWS Developer Lounge for a stimulating and interactive coding dojo from 3:10 pm to 5:30 pm.

This is an excellent opportunity for hands-on experience and skill-building, and we encourage all attendees to participate fully. Then stick around for drinks and food afterwards to share your thoughts and questions.

The event will be ran by Matt Belcher, Danish Javed and Alisdair Smith.

Danish started his career from a social media startup in London after completing his BSc in Computer Science. His most recent experience comes from F-Secure/Withsecure in the cyber security industry where he was leading a team building attack surface management solution. He has also amassed knowledge from the Travel, Automotive and Media industries. The first language he learnt was Java. Since then, he has done a lot of PHP, Python, Javascript and some Ruby.

Alasdair has been developing as hobby since an early age. Initially, he was drawn to development in the C programming language after discovering an interest in penetration testing and exploit development. After a brief stint working as a penetration tester, Alasdair chose to adjust his career path to focus more specifically on becoming a developer. Since then, he has graduated university with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science and worked for a software consultancy developing bespoke web applications.

After completing his degree in Computer Science, Matt Belcher joined a medium-sized online travel company as a Systems Developer. During his time there he got the opportunity to work with a team of consultants from ThoughtWorks on building the first Service-Oriented-Architecture within the company. That was Matt’s first experience working in an Agile manner and following XP practices. Matt is passionate about helping Organisations improve their software delivery capabilities, whether it be through embedding good technical practices or establishing a clear technical vision.
