We're happy to announce the Elixir Meetup on Tuesday 21 March at Kabisa Weert.

We have 2 talks, from people who have experienced developing in Elixir. After the 2 main stories we have some time for lightning talks, show & tell etc.

Kabisa is going to provide food & drinks. It's free to participate, but since we have a limited amount of space sign up early. We'll start at 17:30 and wrap up around 21:00.

Talks:

Laurens Boekhorst

“Chatting with Elixir, a pragmatic approach”

Chat bots are hot and popping up everywhere. Whether they are here to stay or not, they pose a lot of interesting technical challenges for us developers. Especially so when you are a resource-constrained team with no background in natural language processing. During this talk, Laurens will present a pragmatic approach to getting started with chat bots, and share his learnings of nearly one year of development in Elixir and Phoenix.

Tonći Galić
"Elixir: the silver hammer"

Elixir is a rather new language, so it's only natural folks wonder how and for what purposes it can be used. In this talk we'll discuss Elixirs super powers.
