The Tooling Scene for Using AI at Work
Since the release of ChatGPT, LLM-based AI tools have largely been centered around simple chat interfaces or embedded within code editors or note-taking apps, with models that predict the next token in a sequence. Recently, the major AI players have begun to move beyond these basic patterns, introducing more advanced tools and capabilities.
This talk will dive into recent innovations in AI tooling, focusing on how these new products and models improve over the chat tools we’ve relied on so far. We’ll survey a range of emerging and lesser-known tools, including OpenAI’s new reasoning model ‘o1’ and ChatGPT Canvas, a beta workflow designed for iterating on documents and code, and others.
