Today's test automation engineers are often responsible for their own selenium test infrastructure. This infrastructure can require as much maintenance as the tests themselves. Furthermore, it needs to scale with ever-increasing test coverage and platform support. Oh -- and most importantly -- it needs to be cost effective.
In this talk, we'll cover Zalenium, cloud providers, and Selenium-as-a-Service providers (Browserstack, Saucelabs, and Testingbot). We'll set up an elastic, containerized Zalenium Grid to "route out" to the various providers when necessary. Finally, we talk about how to design your CI/CD Pipeline to leverage the providers' race-to-the-bottom pricing.
