Setting up test parallelization with your own personal Selenium (Hub) Cloud

Browser integration tests are generally slow to run. When interfacing with a browser, you have to deal with things such as server latency and AJAX requests. In order to help mitigate the slowness of your test suite, you can introduce parallelism. Parallelism allows you to run all of your tests at the same time rather than running each test one at a time. In this meetup, I will discuss how to set up your own local Selenium "cloud" by using Selenium Hub, and how to execute your tests in parallel using threads. I'll show how you can turn 30 hours of test execution time into 30 minutes. For the presentation, I will be using Ruby and RSpec, but you can apply these practices and general concepts to your programming language and test framework preference.
