Let's hit the trail!
Protein snacks and plenty of water are a must on this hike, as well as sunscreen and a hat! Typically this hike involves over an hour of walking in the direct sun.
We will plan to walk the trail clockwise, stopping to enjoy the view of Mt. Shasta before we break for protein snacks at the “peak”(not the official peak).
The hike begins at the trailhead at 3:30 pm at the latest. Carpooling from Ashland will be at CVS/Rite Aid at 2:30 pm. We should return to Rite Aid by 7 p.m. For carpooling from Medford, please comment below.
Sunset is at 8:03 pm on Saturday. We will likely return to our vehicles at CVS well in advance of this.
Optional refreshments/dinner in Ashland afterwards.
