Granite Falls Exploratory Hike
Details
This is an Exploratory Hike in Jacksonville Forest Park. We will check out Granite Falls, and a newer trail called Bear Ridge Trail with a view of the Rogue Valley. It's about 4 miles round trip with about 1,000 feet of elevation gain.
From the Jacksonville Library, we'll carpool a little over 3 miles to parking lot (P-4) on the right at Forest Park.
To get to Forest Park, head toward Ruch on Highway 238. Watch for signage on the right for Jacksonville Forest Park. Once on the gravel road (Jacksonville Reservoir Road), go about 2 miles. At the fork, stay to the right. Parking lot P-4 is another 1/4 mile.
