HOBART BLUFF via highway 66

Note: the hike starts at the PCT access on Highway 66, NOT the trailhead on Soda Mountain Road.
This hike has a moderate but steady gain of about 1,045 feet over 3.5 miles through mostly forest cover. The steepest section is the last 0.3 mile push up Hobart Bluff where we can stop for lunch and enjoy the view. The total distance is 7-miles round-trip. Bring water, lunch, and snacks. Pack a light jacket. Dogs are welcome.
