East Applegate Ridge Trail/(optional)Red Lily Winery 🍷

The forecast looks great for tomorrow morning/afternoon! 64 high is forecast-perfect hiking weather! We will hike from the (moderate) EART trailhead off of Sterling Creek around 2.5 miles in to the iconic bench where we will picnic before returning back down the trail to our vehicles.

Optional picnic at the gorgeous Red Lily Winery along the peaceful Applegate River afterwards. The winery has delicious paninis, etc. available or you can pack your own picnic to enjoy along the river!

The forecast is 50s-60s and sunny ☀️ during the hike. Perfect weather for a ridge hike!
Bring: lunch, protein snacks, water, SPF, hat, poles, $ for carpool, etc.

Driving directions: from Jacksonville drive over Jacksonville Hill on the 238. Turn left at the top of the hill onto Cady Ln. Then turn right onto Sterling Creek Rd. Drive to the EART Trailhead sign on the right. Follow the road around 1/2 mile to the trailhead.
Jacksonville Library Carpool at 9 a.m.(sharp) Please park across the bridge at the end of the parking lot. Please make carpool arrangements in accordance with your plans to attend (or not) the after-party at the winery.
