The next Posse is on Thursday 22 May 2025 at Pret A Manger Leicester Square when we will mark 20 years of doing this.
The Gay Soho Coffee Posse is currently meeting on occasional Thursday evenings allowing you to socialise and relax with real gay people in the real world. We aim to provide a space for gay / bi / questioning men to come together to socialise and relax in a quiet, friendly and inexpensive environment. We attract an unpredictable mix of regulars, occasional visitors and new members trying us out. Some attendees stay briefly, some come early, some come late while others stay for the whole evening.
We have been meeting continuously since May 2005. Starting off in the wonderful Costa Old Compton Street (RIP Apr 2014), then Costa Shaftesbury Avenue (RIP Nov 2016), then alternating between Caffè Nero Haymarket and Caffè Nero Oxo Tower (nice outdoor terrace in summer). And a brief stint on Zoom during the tyranny. It's been great to be back in Soho at Orée Old Compton Street (RIP Feb 2025).

We are meeting at the lively Pret A Manger Leicester Square on the corner of Cranbourn Street and St Martin's Lane (just outside Soho). A slightly later starting time to avoid the theatre crowd. Come to socialise and relax with real gay people in the real world. This venue is quiet so conversation is easy.
At this event, we are celebrating 20 years of the Soho Coffee Posse as the first event was on 18 May 2005.
The official part of the event starts at 7:15 pm and continues until 9:15 pm. You can come and leave anytime between these times. The venue stays open until 11pm so we may stay later. Then we may also decamp to a nearby restaurant or café.
It helps greatly that you RSVP for this event as early as possible. I'll then know you're coming and it encourages more people to attend. If you have RSVPed and you have a real picture, I will keep a look out for you. Note that there are also people attending who aren't members of Meetup. You can also RSVP by "buying" a free ticket at OutSavvy. Optionally you can purchase a “Buy Me A Coffee” ticket to help with the costs of running and promoting the event.
You are expected to buy something in the venue to eat and/or drink. Without the venues we won't be able to meet.
