Cinematic Storytelling

Details

When producers read your script, they need to envision it vividly on the screen. If they can’t, your work might make for an excellent radio play or a compelling novel—but it’s not a movie.
Writing cinematically means mastering the language of film: knowing how to use it creatively and translate it effectively into screenplay form.
Join us at this week’s seminar to learn powerful techniques that will help you craft stories producers can’t resist.

Get your Short Film Made
In conjunction with Different Planet Films and the Works Studio, Soho Screenwriters aim to develop and produce a slate of short films. Come along to this week’s meeting to find out more.

A writer's workshop will follow the seminar. If you require feedback, please bring along your:

Pitches (film set-up idea in 50 words or less)
Synopsis (the entire story in 8 short paragraphs)
Scene (2-5 pages)
Shorts (up to 10 pages)
