Figure Drawing Class with a Live Model (w/personalized instruction)

Welcome to SoHo Sketch Club,

Whether you are a beginner looking to improve your skills drawing from a live model or an experienced artist seeking inspiration and knowledge, this class is perfect for you. All levels are welcome.

We begin our class with some short and unique poses and move into a long pose that the model with take for 4 consecutive classes, offering the opportunity to study the human form on a deeper level and complete your drawing.

Christopher Pugliese is a master of Classical Painting with decades of experience. He has taught at New York Academy of Art and the Art Students League of New York. And he will provide personalized guidance with lectures in Anatomy and Old Master techniques. Over time you will learn to understand the structure of the human figure, rendering light and shade with pencil, composition, underpainting and glazing with oil paint, while progressing at your own pace.

Space is limited. Fee is $40.

What to bring:

18 x 24 in. drawing pad, smooth surface paper (EG strathmore paper series 400) and a selection of pencils.
